As-Maintained Equipment Manager

Want to streamline your workflow with precision and care?

Service engineers face a wide array of challenges. Not accounting for R&D, both maintenance and continuous improvement add to the expansive list of tasks.

Without extensive product knowledge or easy data access, troubleshooting and problem solving quickly becomes a burden – especially with older, repeatedly modified products.

Software vendors like SAP suggest introducing serial or batch traceability on the entire product. This is a common approach in aerospace and defense, but outside of that it is rare and comes with a high cost. More still, it is not implemented on detailed levels in the machining industries.

Without full traceability to help identify and order the right spare parts, it becomes necessary to investigate and synthesize production BOMs, service orders, upgrade kits, and other data sources.

Unfortunately, ERP and PLM systems do not address this.

Introducing: As Maintained Equipment Manager (AEM)

AEM features both as-built and as-maintained BOMs and compiles it all into a single interface creating a timeline, by continuously archiving changes made to each machine.

By combining general data from ERP and CAD/PDM, companies can thoroughly inspect every detail of their respective machines in 3D, from the biggest frame down to the smallest screw.

When developing new upgrade solutions, it’s crucial that they are designed for deployment across multiple machines rather than just a single unit.

To support this, AEM is equipped with a strong comparison engine that enables comparing the product’s structure to the entire installed base and then identify variables.
